TAKEOVER 2018: MAKING THEATRE & CREATING STORIES FROM MUSIC – WORKSHOP

Explore the creative processes behind Rough Fiction’s most recent production The Expected, a physical theatre show based on a piece of music about a pair of lovers and the social pressures they live under.

Working with director Simon Pittman (RSC, National Theatre of Scotland, Associate Director at Frantic Assembly), participants will be lead through a set of physical tasks exploring the poetry and music that was the inspiration for The Expected to create and workshop their own material. 

Great for young people interested in exploring acting, dance, theatre-making and musical interpretation. Bring trainers, loose clothing to move in and some water. 

This event is suitable for ages 15 – 24 and is part of TAKEOVER. A festival inspired by East London.
