Wild
Devised by Rough Fiction and the company
Tuesday 27th and Thursday 28th January 2016, Leo Price Theatre, Bishops Stortford
Keep of the grass.
This Learn & Train production was created over a 6-day creative residency with students at Bishops Stortford College. Devised by the company with direction and choreography from Helen Millar and Gareth Taylor for Rough Fiction.
We have created a piece of devised theatre exploring what it is the be wild.
Through a mixture of creative writing, physical choreography and devised theatre-making the company present a 35-minute piece about what it is to be wild, the animal kingdom, and our relationship to it. Has our reliance on technology anaesthetised us from our connection to the planet? Will our consumption of material goods force us to return to a more sparse existence? Will we collectively decide to change our priorities and focus on the future generations, or will that decision be made for us? And will the meerkats find reception?
